Install Mac OS X on Intel PC with iBoot Download

You can simply install Mac OS X on any of your Intel PC very easily with iBoot download. Any PC or laptop with Intel Pentium 4, Dual Core, Core2Duo, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors could use with iBoot. However AMD processors are not supported for iBoot download. Windows and Mac dual boot system will help you in many ways.

To install Mac OS X on your Intel PC, you need to have a PC or laptop with any of the above mentioned Intel processor, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD and a blank CD or DVD to burn iBoot download on it. You can buy OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD via online store of Apple Company.


iBoot download is made available via its official web page for download. This is a free tool. At the moment there are several iBoot download versions available, such as, iBoot Haswell 1.0.1, iBoot Ivy Bridge 1.1.0, iBoot Legacy 2.7.2, iBoot 3.3.0. You have to select the most appropriate version for your devices system settings. When you successfully downloaded the iBoot on your PC, you can proceed with Mac OS X installation.

Important points before install Mac OS X 10.6 on your PC

1.      You should take a backup to ensure the safety of your data on your device.
2.      All USB devices other than the keyboard and mouse should be unplugged.
3.   If you are having multiple graphic cards or multiple monitors, you have to remove other graphic cards and other monitors. The remaining graphic card should be plugged in to 1st PCI slot on the motherboard.
4.      Additional hard disk drives should be removed and keep one hard disk with blank partition, to be installed the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard on it.

Step-by-Step tutorial to install Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard with iBoot Download


1.   First of all customize your BIOS settings. Set the CD ROM as first boot device, via Boot priority list and disable the extreme hard drive XHD function.
2.      Burn the downloaded iBoot on to a CD or DVD.
3.      Then restart your PC while iBoot CD or DVD in the CD/DVD ROM.
4.      When Boot prompt screen appears, take out iBoot CD/DVD.
5.      Now you have to insert Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD.
6.      Press F5 key to proceed and then press enter key.
7.      Partition your hard disk. And format it to Mac OS Extended.
8.      Restart the PC and insert iBoot CD/DVD again.

9.      Once you get boot selection screen, select the newly installed “Snow Leopard”.
